Baby Theo

Mum and Dad booked their Newborn session with me months ago…when little Theo was still just the size of a finger. =)

Mum had neutrals in her house so wanted to make sure that the colour scheme we picked would go well with the house decor so we went for muted blues and creams.

Mum and Dad also wanted to avoid props and go with very simple and timeless poses so we kept it to wrapped poses and very uncomplicated poses and little Theo was a dream…sleeping peacefully through the whole thing.

Mum and dad also wanted images with their eldest son. Oliver is two and typically at this age it’s always a mission to get them to co-operate, thankfully Oliver was a little superstar and managed to be still long enough to get a gorgeous image of him kissing his younger brother.

Welcome to the world little Theo.

I'm not sure if it's my love for children or my instinctive need to feed my creative spirit that sparked my interest in photography but I remember as a teenager always wanting to photograph my small cousins and baby brother. They were always in front of the camera as I tried out new lenses and poses.

Now a mother myself, I've developed an even stronger artistic passion. I was told many times how quickly they grow up but it's not until you become a parent yourself do you see just how quick that process is. Photography has become a way for me to document my children as they are right now, capturing every wonderful detail of babyhood and childhood.
